Catholic Housing and Community Services is seeking a compassionate, organized, and mission-driven professional to serve as the full-time Assistant Program Director of Saint Mary's Residence, a 37-unit permanent housing community for older adult women in Center City Philadelphia.

Working under the supervision of the Director, the Assistant Program Director plays a vital role in supporting residents and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the residence. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about serving older adults.

Key responsibilities Qualifications

• Conducting resident admissions, orientations, and wellness checks.
• Completing social service assessments and connecting residents to resources, benefits, healthcare, transportation, and supportive services.
• Developing and coordinating recreational, educational, wellness, and social programs.
• Building relationships with families, healthcare providers, referral sources, and partners.
• Preparing reports, correspondence, activity calendars, and other program documentation.
• Managing office operations, supplies, inventory, food procurement, and recordkeeping.
• Conducting room inspections and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Supervising assigned staff and volunteers.
• Assisting with emergency response, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Promoting the mission and values of Catholic Charities of Philadelphia while fostering a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for residents.
• Sharing on call responsibilities with Director for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Gerontology, or a related field.
• One to three years of experience in senior services, housing, or social services.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
